Generously sized, the shawl measures 30 inches wide by 80 inches long and each end is finished with a 2-inch full fringe. Pashmina is the Tibetan name for cashmere.'Pashm,' which means'inner,' comes from the underbelly fur of the mountain goats that live in the foothills of the Himalayas and the high Tibetan plateau. Every summer shepherds gather this underfur from the goats; it's then cleaned and spun into a fine cashmere yarn.Pashmina has been around for centuries.
